THE CARAJÁS

ANTAS
The deposit that is today the Antas Mine was discovered, developed, and is managed by Avanco. Antas is the ideal starter mine. It has good geology with high-grade mineralisation, lending itself to efficient and low-cost mining and processing techniques. All in a region blessed with established infrastructure and a mining savvy labour force.
PEDRA BRANCA
Pedra Branca is the company’s second project. It is made of two zones, East and West, which will take the company to 50,000 tonnes of annual copper production. The Eastern Zone will be developed first via an underground mine, targeting 24,000 tonnes of annual copper production. This will eventually be complemented by the Western Zone, by an open pit, and targeting an additional 10,000 tonnes of annual copper production.
CENTROGOLD
The CentroGold Project is considered to be one of the largest undeveloped gold projects in Brazil and estimated by independent analysts to be worth ~$180m.
REGIONAL EXPLORATION
TARGETS
Being the original Carajás pioneer with a decade on the ground, Avanco has pegged some of the best exploration ground in the region. Our portfolio of projects is the second largest, 100% owned, and covers over 1,800 square kilometres. Our in house exploration team, is working hard with a recently announced $10.6 budget to develop projects and explore our licences, hoping to replicate the success it has already demonstrated with the discovery on Antas.
